These summer months come with a lot of humidity. With that comes frizz and styles that just wont stay. Thanks too me I  have a solution for you guys lol.

Mazani has a humidity resistant mist that works really well! I use daily before going outside in the heat and before any sweating occurs. Its also light enough to curl with and your still able to run your fingers threw.

Rocking Roots!

Ombre hair has become  very popular hair amongest celebritys! Its nothing more then having roots! I no I thought the same thing. Since when was it ok to have a line of demarcation obviously showing that you need your color touched up. But my opinion is if done correctly it is the picturre perfect look to MESSY hair! (sn: im a fan of messy quick hair)


So I finally got to try this look on my co-workers hair who is the perfect canidate with her not so perfect up dos and natural loose curls

I have had very limited internet access for the month of may, but I will be back blogging this weekend. I have so much info & can't wait to share it! Love peace & hair grease!

Myth about trims!

No no no trims do not make your hair grow. Your hair will grow regaurdless (unless diease or disorder is involed). You may not notice the growth because your hair in breaking at the ends, this is why trims are necessary. Every 6-8 weeks (women)depending on how fast your hair grows & what you do to it on a daily basis! The more you keep up on it the less you will have to take off! I promise you you will see a difference & feel one to!

Carmel Treatment!

When I first purchased the Carmel treatment from the e'tae natural product line my hair was its natural color (black) and I was 6 months into going from relaxed to natural! My natural hair is a very tight curl so I was looking for something to soften and maintain my hair. The Carmel treatment softens, adds shine, and body. Everything that I was looking for was in this bottle. I used it every couple months (I also tried to use the recommend Carmelux shampoo, conditioner, and gloss that the site suggested and I did not like any of them and the smell was horrible they where a waste of money) with my  own shampoo and conditioner and it worked just fine. It does get a little messy and you will need an extra set of hands, but the clean up is easy because all the products are things that you can find right in your kitchen. I have not used it since I've had my red hair because I'm afraid the vinger in the product will strip my color and its hard keeping the red as is I don't want any extra work! Other then that its a great buy the salon is right here in Philadelphia, PA I love that its so local. Happy to be nappy!

I am a huge fan of natural hair. I love curls and if I could I would love all my clients to be natural. I have had relaxed hair before and I totally understand the convience of it. Natural hair does require a little more attention and maintenance but the pros of natural hair outweigh the cons.

The purpose of a relaxer is to eliminating the curl out of your hair. With eliminating the curl the chemical also can eliminate the body and the moisture in the hair, leaving it flat and lifeless. With short hair this is the best option and the only time I will not express my happy to be nappy opinion. I have short hair and my hair is natural so it is possible. The reason being is because I enjoy my bright red hair and in order for me to achieve this look I had to go natural, but it requires alot. I wont sugar coat natural hair and not every stylist is equipped to do it. If you enjoy bright lighter colors, body, shine, and strength, with the option of straight or curly hair then natural is the way to go, and how cool is it to be able to say I'm happy to be nappy lol!

Mazani butter blend relaxer system

This weekend I got a chance to use Mazani Butter Blend Relaxer SYSTEM! I cap the word system because this relaxer comes with six different products that need to be used. In the hair industry time is money and this relaxer requires a little bit more time then a normal relaxer. As excited as I was to try the new product i got a bit discouraged when 20 mins later I was still at the shampoo bowl. The system calls for alot of applying, processing,  and re washing. My clients hair was silky smooth but the xtra 20mins that I took left her a little annoyed.

Clients: If you don't mind  a couple xtra mins in the chair, then I would recomment trying the new mazani butter blend relaxer!
Stylist: If you have not tried this relaxer it is a good buy and your cutomers will love it!

For starters

Im not here to crtizize but here to help I will only post what I believe and agree with. I have a strong opinion when im discussing hair, and I will use it. Its much more to hair then what meets the eye and I want to get that out there. Im open to other info, opinions, questions, and facts as well. I do not know everything but I  hope that  what I do can and will can help.
